Services will be Tuesday for Rhoda A. M. Burton, 88, who died June 10, 2012, at her residence.
The viewing will be held at 9 a.m. Tuesday at St. Andrew's Episcopal Church, followed by services at 10 a.m. Burial will be in Western Cemetery No. 2.
She was preceded in death by two sons, Trevor Joseph and Rhudel Boncamper; siblings, Louise Roberts, Joel and Jacob Burton, Sara Mae Francis and Irene Broome; and Beverly Joseph.
Her cherished memory will forever be in the hearts of her four children, Adele Smith of Washington, D.C., Beatrice Burton of Yorktown, Va., Athnel Barnes of Ooltewah, Tenn., and Ashford Barnes of St. Thomas; adopted son and daughter, Delroy Marshall and Yvonne Brutus; siblings, Doris Burton and Charlotte "Edna" Blyden of St. Thomas, Rosamund "Irose" Burton of Bronx, N.Y., Jean Merchant of St. Croix, Rueben "Con", Iola "Madge," and Irma Burton of St. John, Antigua; grandchildren, Lt. Col. Wistaria G. Joseph (USAF), Anya S. Joseph Turbe; Master Sgt. Charaz Joseph, Stacy S. Joseph Simon (Army), Tiffany Joseph, Terrilyn Joseph, Takia Joseph, Rhudel Boncamper II, Royal Boncamper, Reenecia Rhoda Boncamper, Raydiant Princess Boncamper, Nicole Smith-McDermott, Earl McDermott, Alexander Powell, Aya Barnes, Asher Barnes, Jael' Barnes, Ja'alah Barnes, Amania Barnes, De Angelo Barnes; adopted grandchildren, Patrice C. Honoree and Shusta T.A. Gumbs. a.k.a. "Lion"; great-grandchildren, Trinika L. Joseph Anderson, Michael Simon, Sharnell Simon, Tekara V. Abramson, Johnya Turbe, Jahnique Turbe, Je Nae Turbe, Nyashia Barnes, Ashley Hayer, Ashlin Hayer, Rosena Joseph and Latisha Joseph; great-great-grandchildren, Amiya Joseph, Nigel Piper, Zyriah Abramson and Ishalyn Todman; and many other loving relatives and friends.
