Services will be held Saturday for Walter E. Chinnery, who passed away June 13, 2010.
The viewing will be from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday at Turnbull’s Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Wesley Methodist Chapel in Tutu. Burial will be in Raimer Family Cemetery in Estate St. Joseph and Rosendal.
He is survived by his wife, Ina M. Hill Chinnery; sons, Lind W. Chinnery, M.D., Wayne Chinnery and Lawrence Paul; daughters, Linda Chinnery, Lynnette Chinnery-Jackson, D.D.S., and Lona Paul; grandchildren, Chantel Harrigan, Jabari Carrington, Ahmad Chinnery, Akrin Chinnery, Kourtney Chinnery, Lawrence Paul Jr., Lamont Paul, Leopold Paul and Tina-Rose Thomas; great-grandchildren, Zecoi Gumbs, Jahkyra Carrington, Tianiq Walters, Lawrence Paul III and Logan Paul; brothers, Dennis Chinnery, Egbert Chinnery and David Chinnery; sisters, Edith Chinnery, Violet Chinnery-Fenuku, Daisy Chinnery-McNulty, Joyce Chinnery and Berecia Chinnery-Penn; son–in-law, Sandy Jackson; daughters-in-law, Debra Chinnery, Ph.D., and Jean Thompson-Paul; brother-in-law, Kofi Fenuku; sister-in-law, Alice Robinson; 10 nephews; 12 nieces; 30 great-nephews and nieces; 17 great-great-nephews and nieces;
and special friends, John Henderson, Claude Simmonds and Verlin Turnbull.
The family requests that attendees wear bright colors.
