During the Oct. 11, 2012, meeting of the Legislature's Committee on Rules and Judiciary, Austin Nibbs, executive director of the Government Employees Retirement System, told members of the committee that two GERS interest groups were in favor of the changes to the system that he was proposing.
The Advocates for the Preservation of the Retirement System has not given its endorsement to the proposed changes at this time. APRS has not received nor reviewed the actual amendments.
