At long last, the V.I. Legislature must disclose its most closely held secret: What happened to $6.9 million in misused and missing Senate money - and who's to blame.

Fourteen of the 15 sitting senators have fought the disclosure of that information, either by active obstruction or by stone-faced silence. The 15th senator, Craig Barshinger, consistently has called for disclosure but has met the same resistance as The Daily News during a 10-month-long effort to obtain the documents showing the uses and abuses of the $6.9 million.
