Postmaster, please bring back the music

I have written letters to the editor in the past on problems ranging from education to crime - complicated issues that take time to resolve. My comment today will be short, and the solution is, in my opinion, simple:
Bring back the music.
On an island where standing in line waiting to be served is one of the most frustrating experiences, the music provided at the Aubrey Ottley Post Office is the exception. Until recently, upon entering the lobby, one would be greeted by the pleasant sound of music in a variety of genres.
It made the wait in line not only tolerable, but also enjoyable. Mr. Alameen, Monique and all the workers, without exception, make the entire experience pleasant.
I was told that the postmaster decided that the music should not be played in the lobby. If that is the case, I would like to ask her to please reconsider her decision.
Music soothes the soul, and during these very difficult times, we can all use more music in our lives. The post office at Sugar Estate had something special. Please bring it back.
As Berthold Auerbach said, "Music washes away from the soul the dust of everyday life."
I feel certain that I am not alone in wanting to hear these melodies play again. So this is a shout-out to other customers at the post office. Please ask the postmaster to let the music play.
