Senators, don't expect re-election

Mike Walsh's letter to the editor ( "Senators live large at our expense," Wednesday, Jan. 25) sparked. Many thanks to The Daily News for supplying us with eye-opening photos of our gluttonous, over-paid, over-perked and power-hungry servants of we the people.

It's not surprising, is it, how these same "worthies" have recently been so over- fed - at our expense - that they are expanding more than their egos.

Citizens of the Virgin Islands, please remember, in the forthcoming election campaign this summer, that even if a sitting senator is a relative, a neighbor or a friend, these public servants have not been friends to the Virgin Islands.

Please remember this on Election Day.

It is imperative to the health and future of our islands that we do not repeat these same mistakes.

Apologies to Sen. Craig Barshinger, who seems to actually want to communicate with we the people, and I hope that he doesn't suffer because of it.
