So the police commissioner resigns

It looks like Commissioner Henry White did not have much say about how the V.I. Police Department ran - he could only make suggestions.
Apparently he didn't feel like he was having much effect, but because of his experience, he had the potential to really help this community.
I suggest we hire him back as a consultant, at twice the pay, and allow him to help us get rid of our crime problem.
The police have been making great strides, I see the police out in the neighborhoods, all neighborhoods, some more than others. People are getting arrested at traffic stops for having guns in the car. The Police Department has been doing a lot better, and they are really trying to develop an education program for the incoming officers as well as for the veteran officers.
Even so, we still have a huge problem with crime, and the police are the ones that we pay to eliminate crime.
Really, we have made great progress. Police officers are going to jail, senators are going to jail, commissioners are going to jail, as well as some of the people who shoot other people. It would be nice if the police chiefs on each island would make a request to the Governor to hire him back to help fix the problem and help to reduce the crime in Paradise.
