What a difference one lane makes

Gone is the Raphune Hill traffic congestion!

This morning, I drove from Red Hook to First Avenue in about 15 minutes!

I was not speeding. People were not passing on the double yellow lines. Traffic was not backed up almost to Fort Mylner.

With the addition of only one lane at the bottom of Raphune Hill, St. Thomas traffic congestion has been reduced to such an extent that one no longer has to dread the morning drive to town from the East End.

To all those who helped to make our daily commute to work a lot less stressful: Thank You. Keep up the good work.

- Alan D. Smith, St. Thomas
