ST. THOMAS - The Charlotte Amalie High School Chickenhawks used a nine-run fourth inning to rout Ivanna Eudora Kean High School, 13-7, in the final meeting for the teams and win the St. Thomas-St. John IAA District varsity baseball championship.
Although the game ended up with a football score, pitching was the difference as David Nicholas came on in relief to hold the Devil Rays to one run. Kean led, 6-4, on an inside-the-park home run by Emari Mills when coach Kenny Todman decided to make a change.
