ST. CROIX - The Charlotte Amalie High School baseball team is a chatty bunch, but Taj Thompson is rarely heard from in the dugout or on the diamond.
The soft-spoken, reserved sophomore was a mainstay at third base this season, but remained in the lower half of the batting order behind four seniors and a junior. He struggled through much of the regular season, but his bat finally did the talking for him in critical moments of Games 1 and 2 of the IAA Territorial Championship Series Friday and Saturday at D.C. Canegata Ballpark on St. Croix.
