ST. THOMAS - Somehow, against all likelihood, Kevin Krigger and Victor Lebron both have a shot at putting the Virgin Islands' stamp on the Kentucky Derby history books.

The two jockeys, both from St. Croix, are competing today on the sport's biggest stage - Krigger aboard Goldencents in post position 8, and Lebron on Frac Daddy in post position 18.

Another Virgin Islander, Gareem Nicholas, is an assistant trainer for Itsmyluckyday, the horse in post position 12.
