Lady Jags finish undefeated season with 14-9 victory over Lady Rays

ST. THOMAS - Winning pitcher Bianca Sibilly went 2-for-3 at the plate and helped hold the Ivanna Eudora Kean High School offense to just five hits as the Ss. Peter and Paul School Lady Jaguars won 14-9 on Tuesday in varsity girls softball action at Alvin McBean Ballpark. With the win, the Lady Jags finished the season undefeated at 9-0 and took the league title.

Sibilly added 15 strikeouts on the mound while giving up seven walks as the Lady Jags survived an error-filled matchup between the squads. The team committed six errors, while the Lady Rays totalled five.

Other top hitters for the Lady Jaguars included Nicole Berry at 3-for-5, Maribel Okiye at 3-for-4, Beverlyn Rosario at 2-for-4 and Kamira Webster at 2-for-5.

Akia Frett was the top batter for the Lady Rays as she went 1-for-2 with a home run. Ashana Smith took the loss on the mound as she struck out seven Lady Jaguars batters but gave up seven walks. The Lady Jags pounded out 14 hits.
