40-plus cricket food sale postponed

ST. THOMAS - The 40-Plus cricket club's food sale, originally scheduled for Saturday, will take place on April 6 at the Addelita Cancryn Junior High School field.

Gifft Hill 26, Moravian 25

ST. THOMAS - Ty Maasaquoi made the last free throw with three seconds on the clock to win the game as the Gifft Hill School junior varsity boys basketball team defeated Moravian School in overtime on Friday, 26-25. The score was 20-20 at the end of regulation.

Massaquoi led Gifft Hill with 11 points, followed by Nekhori Sprauve with six points. Moravian's top scorers were Jahkwani Williams with 12 points andJe'Quan Browne with 11 points.

Zero Tolerance Easter Ball-A-Rama

ST. THOMAS - The teams set to participate in the 12th annual Zero Tolerance Easter Ball-A-Rama are Nuff Respect, Jah Youths, Win It All, and the BVI Stars. The tournament, which is for 13-15 year olds, is in round-robin format and will take place Sunday beginning at 10 a.m. at the CAHS gym. Admission is free.

Rugby practice

ST. THOMAS - The USVI Rugby Football Union practices on Tuesdays and Thursdays every week from 6 to 8 p.m. at Charlotte Amalie High School. Veterans, novices and first-time players are all welcome to participate.

The group is training for upcoming scrimmages with the BVI and other down-island teams.

Softball clinic

ST. THOMAS - The Sports, Parks and Recreation Department will have a softball clinic for girls ages 9-12 from 10 a.m. to noon today at Emile Griffith Ballpark. It will continue at Alvin McBean Complex until Thursday from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. each day. For more information, call 775-7183.

Soccer clinics

The USVI Soccer Association is conducting free soccer clinics on St. Croix and St. Thomas that are open to boys and girls ages 5-13. The clinics take place from 9 a.m. to noon every Saturday at Good Hope School and Educational Complex on St. Croix and at the University of the Virgin Islands soccer field on St. Thomas. Beach wrestling

ST. THOMAS - The V.I. Wrestling Federation invites the public to beach wrestling at Brewers Bay Beach at 3 p.m. on the first and third Sunday of every month.

Taekwondo classes

ST. JOHN - There will be taekwondo classes at St. Ursula's Anglican Church Multipurpose Center from 3:30 to 5 p.m. on Tuesdays and Thursdays. Students ages 6 to adult are welcome.

Free tennis instruction

ST. JOHN - The first 10-and-under Tennis Play Day was held last September at the Cruz Bay tennis courts and because of the event's success, free tennis instruction will now be offered Fridays from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sundays from 1 to 4 p.m. For more information, call Pat Harley at 776-6643.

Ladies golf clinics

ST. THOMAS - Mahogany Run Golf Course is offering ladies golf lessons every Saturday starting this week from 9 to 10 a.m. Bring a friend and learn to play golf. For more information or to sign up, call Veronica at the Golf Shop at 777-6006 ext. 1.
