Rookies fight off Falcons, 9-5, in Senthill softball

ST. THOMAS — Kemo Simeon and Timothy Brewer hit solo home runs for the Falcons, but it wasn’t enough as the Rookies held on for a 9-5 victory in a Donald O. Senthill Coed Modified-pitch Softball League game Thursday.
Kyle Lamotta and Alfred Maduro each went 2-for-3 for the Rookies as Kareem Henley was the winning pitcher and Jakoi Percival added two hits. Brewer had two hits and Robert Boschulte was inside the circle for the Falcons.
Storm 19, Vibes 7
Kareem Thompson had three hits in three plate appearances to lift the Storm to a 19-7 win over the Vibes on Thursday.
Winning pitcher Christopher Berry, Rasheed Hodge and Elgin Jeppesen combined for six hits for the Storm, who also got a two-run home run from Levron Sarauw Jr. in the first inning. Sarauw also had five RBIs. Sheldon Turnbull, Dexter Freeman, Kevin Wenner and Elston Rhymer each went 2-for-3 for the Vibes.
Pistons 27, Dominicanos 11
Yensi Natera blasted a three-run home run in the second inning and Felix Naval followed with a solo shot to lead the Pistons in a 27-11 victory over the Dominicanos on Thursday. The Pistons finished with a staggering 25 hits.
Natera and Domingo Gonzalez each went 4-for-4 from the plate while Ricardo Eliaza and Victor Alexei combined for eight hits for the Pistons. Pablo Uben was the winning pitcher. Felix Pigan and E. Garrado each had two hits in two plate appearances for the Dominicanos.
